In this two-part intensive, national presenter Thista Minai and infectious disease specialist, Dr. Camilla Graham, team up to help you stay risk aware in your consensual kink. They’ll give you the latest medical information to keep yourself and your partners protected with your delightful perversions.

First session (12:00pm): Discuss a variety of toys from sexy to sadistic, examine what precautions we might consider when using them, and learn how best to care for them between scenes.

Second session (2:00pm): Dive deep into medical play, exploring safety protocols and aftercare procedures for needle play, sounding, micro-branding, and more. Come learn which common kink practices help mitigate risk, which ones don’t, what might actually make things worse, and what you can do to keep your risk profile exactly where you want it.

Body Impact: the Basic, the Complex, & the Cheats w/Sara Scalper

Class Description:

Although BDSM toys can be really fun to use during impact scenes, there’s nothing quite as effective at causing pain as your built-in tools, i.e. parts of your body! During this class, Sara Scalper will show you a variety of techniques that will have your bottom squirming in pain even though you are using only your body and your imagination. You will learn which parts of the body are safe to hit and how to hit them properly, “working up” from commonly-hit areas such as the bottom and upper back to the more “edgy” ones (face, genitals, etc.). Sara will show topping techniques done with hands, elbows, knees, feet, and perhaps a few other body parts that might surprise you, and then will show you a few “cheats” that will help you incorporate a few toys into a rough body place scene to accentuate the body impact and create a more satisfying scene! At the end of the class, attendees will be welcome to ask Sara for tips, tricks, and “hands on” help as time allows. Attending this class will make you think of “body language” in a completely different way!

Presenter Bio:

Sara Scalper is a queer, nonmonogamous non-binary femme and ethical sadist who has been topping since 2002, has been involved in the kink community since 2004, and has been a part of the New England kink community since 2010. They self-identify as 75% intersexed being, 20% Amazonian woman, and 5% primal male (these identities are constantly in flux), but are always 100% ethical sadist. Primarily a physical sadist and impact top, they also get great pleasure from teaching newer folks in the community how to top safely (via classes or one-on-one instruction) and/or how to negotiate so they have safe, satisfying scenes.

Sara has taught for NELA at several Fleas and at/for NH Kinky Con, GKENE, Bound in Boston, NEDS, Boston Invasions at the Society, Trans Spectrum Kinksters, Paingasms at the Society, MOB, Boston TNG, BKC, and Wicked Women. They can often be found with their lovely wife and collared submissive, AJ (who often helps them present their classes!), and their extended ”kinky family,” and love to talk ethical nonmonogamy as much as they do BDSM.
